Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Milo! A 13.2-pound, medium-energy, people-oriented cat who enjoys being petted, picked up, held, and even traveling in the car. He recovers quickly from stress, handles vet visits with no issues, and has never shown aggression toward people or animals. While he hasn’t had much experience with children, he’d likely do best with older ones, and although he hasn’t lived with other cats, his owner believes he’d adapt well; around dogs and other animals, he stays quiet and keeps his distance. Indoors, Milo lived with one person, ate Fancy Feast twice daily, maintained perfect litterbox habits, and loved toys—especially balls, catnip toys, and anything electronic that moves. Catnip makes him excited and purry, and he’s most active later in the day, enjoying scratching posts, rugs, and his cat tower. His favorite way to bond is simply being near his person without necessarily touching. Milo is deaf, but it doesn’t diminish his sweet, steady nature or his love of companionship, making him a wonderful match for someone who appreciates a calm, affectionate feline presence.
If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
