From the Foster Family: Jrue, Jayson, Jaylen & Luka are littermates who came to Mending Spirits almost a year ago when their mom was surrendered. These 4 brothers know how to take treats from an open hand, and we are working on touch. The boys are nocturnal and sleep during the day in their large Double Critter Nation cage. The cage is in my work-from-home office, but they could also thrive in a busier household within common areas. A large cage is required for adoption, and it would be fantastic if they could all be adopted together, since they have lived together their entire lives. Three of the boys are considered odd-eyed, meaning Jrue, Jayson and Luka each have a dark eye and a lighter colored eye. Jaylen’s eyes are both darker colored. All these boys are sweethearts even though Luka would love to be the alpha since he is the biggest. All the rats use the litter box in our giant cage – sometimes though, we miss.
About Me: Jrue: Hey there, I’m Jrue and I was named after NBA player Jrue Holiday. I think he’s pretty cool, and my foster mom thinks I am cool too. I have a white stripe on my face, between my eyes and my foster mom says I am “so handsome.” I enjoy taking treats from her open hand, and I take treats when she holds them between her thumb and forefinger too. My personality is totally chill, and I even allow my foster mom to use one finger to stroke my head and back. Sometimes I let her stroke my side, but other times I get up and move away. It just depends on what I am doing, to be honest. My eyes are different colors, so it is difficult for me to see things right away. Us rats have poor eyesight anyway, like 600/20. I know my name and I especially like my brothers Jaylen and Jayson.
