Meet Arlo – Your Loyal, Loving Guardian!
This majestic Great Pyrenees is the definition of calm, sweet, and gentle. Currently being fostered in a loving home, he’s shown us just how affectionate and well-mannered he can be. He loves cuddling on the couch, lounging around the house, and playing with our two resident dogs – he’s a big fan of furry friends!
True to his breed, he has strong guardian instincts and takes his role of protector seriously. You’ll often find him laying by the front door or at the entrances to rooms, always keeping a quiet, watchful eye over the home. Because of this, he does best with slow introductions to new people and situations. He would thrive in a home with a couple or a single woman looking for companionship and a loyal protector.
He prefers to be indoors during the hot summer months, but come winter? He’s in his element! Nothing makes him happier than stretching out in the snow and taking it all in – he’s built for the cold and loves it, but he is an Indoor companion.
He can get a bit anxious on walks and may need some extra training, patience, and reassurance to help build his confidence in new environments. With the right support, he’ll continue to grow into the secure and well-rounded dog he’s meant to be.
