Meet Cricket, a beautiful brindle lab mix with tons of personality! If you're looking for an adult dog so as to avoid the puppy stage, this is your gal. We believe she would do best as an only dog in the home with adults and older children. She's sweet, eager to please, adventurous and except all fun, exciting challenges. A home with a fenced yard would be great for her. Lots to explore, play and run "zoomies" Come see her, she'll melt your heart.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Go to hsnwga.org to apply for a dog or cat. Once approved you can meet the dog or cat at our shelter and take them home.

2.
Sign Adoption Contract

Dog Adoption Fee: $295 and up Cat Adoption Fee: $90 Kitten Adoption Fee: $100 All are age appropriately vetted and chipped.

3.
Take the Pet Home

Tour/Adoption Hours:

Fridays: 3pm – 5pm
Saturdays: 11am – 2pm

During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.

The mission of the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia is to reduce the number of healthy animals euthanized in Whitfield County through the continuation of our successful adoption program, aggressive spay/neuter program, promotion of responsible pet ownership and humane education.
