Say hello to "Mohawk" Sophie!! Sophie is a sweet little longhaired dachshund "chubster" who is looking for her furrever home. Her Dad has Parkinsons Disease and has to be admitted to a facility for care as he is unable to care for himself and Sophie. She's a bit overweight (we're working on it!!) as he let her "graze" with food down all day. He also pee pee pad trained her, as it was difficult for him to let her go outside to do her business (we're working on going outside as well). She gets along well with other dogs, but would be very happy getting all the attention as as only child! If you sit down on the sofa or chair, you will shortly have a companion with you! Loves sitting close to you or on your lap. She only knew two humans in her life, her Dad and his daughter, and no other animals. Sophie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and is on prevention. She doesn't pee or poop on a leash, so a fenced yard is best for her, and a human who is semi retired or retired as she is used to having someone home with her 24/7.
