My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Feather (white) and Alex (tuxedo)! Together, this special pair balances out the responsibilities of the Cool Cat Neighborhood: Feather takes care of the welcoming and cat interactions, while Alex makes sure things are running as they should. Their relationship is one that allows them to each shine at what they do best. They come together for mealtimes (they walk over holding tails to the feeders!) and love to sit and observe the Cool Cat Neighborhood from a rooftop in the evenings, as if to sit and reflect on the day and say “we did it once again, didn’t we?” Their relationship is an inspiring one. Feather: Feather has a very deep, caring sensitivity to him. He’s the cat that‘s always excited about our new arrivals. He’s always ready to make the new arrivals feel comfortable. Feather plays with them, lays by them. This gorgeous (just look at all his pictures, we had to share them all!) 2 year old has grown lots in confidence with his human friends during his time here so far. He loves to play with the wand, takes treats directly from the hand, and allows for pets here and there. Alex: Alex is the coolest cat of the Cool Cat Neighborhood. And you have to be if you’re gonna be running the whole place! He watches over the village from the rooftop pictured below making sure everything is going a-ok, from designated nap spots being respected and that everyone gets a treat. He chuckles when he sees other cats rolling around in catnip uncontrollably. But, we’ve caught Alex trying out catnip himself. Alex’s job requires that he walk around large and fluffy. A regal lion. But, underneath all that fluff is a sweetheart who has come around to taking treats directly from the volunteers and allowing them to come right up to him for life advice. Some have even touched his tail!
