My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charming, Zoomy, Independent

Max is a distinguished gentleman with a playful streak and a serious appreciation for window-side lounging. When he’s not mid-zoomie or scaling his cat tower, you’ll find him basking in the sun and keeping tabs on the neighborhood happenings like the true little mayor he is.

He’s got the energy of a kitten when the wand toy comes out, but Max also knows the value of downtime—he’s happy to curl up beside you for a nap or just enjoy his own quiet corner when he’s feeling introspective. He’s independent, not aloof; affectionate, but never clingy.

Max is rocking a very dapper grey-and-white tuxedo look, complete with a picture-perfect white stripe down his nose. He's also toothless, which just means he's extra special—and still enjoys his meals just fine, thank you very much (wet food with a side of crunchies, please).

He can vibe with other chill cats after a slow intro, and would do well in a home that respects his balance of play and peace.

Max would thrive with someone who works outside the house—he’s content doing his own thing during the day and will greet you with snuggles and purrs when you're back.

Max has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Max can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Max’s care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
