My story

Hey! My name is Zephyr and I am so happy that MVPC took a chance on me! I was about 7-8 weeks old when they saw my sad picture at an overcrowded shelter. I was a stray who obviously had something wrong with my back legs. They looked like chicken wings (my knees pointed outward/toes touching) < >...just like that!

I went to MVPC's vet and had consults at OSU lined up but it turned out.....my own puppy PT was all that I needed. Everyone says that I might have been kept in a small carrier that didn't allow me to move or even stand. Once I got to my foster home I grew stronger by the day and have turned out to be a super good MVP!

I love running, playing & eating. Snuggling is awesome too - once I've gotten the wiggles out. I am working hard at doggie manners, house breaking, crate training and leash training. I am getting out to events now and enjoy all of the pets & belly rubs.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
