Despite his energy and 64-pound body, Goose is also a cuddly companion who loves nothing more than to snuggle up after a day of fun, preferably on your lap. Independent and smart, Goose is house trained and obedient, always ready to show off his skills. He knows the sit, stay, come, no, down, off, and shake commands. His curiosity is infectious, making every day an adventure. He likes to lead while on a leash. While Goose can be a little rough and dominant with other dogs, he behaves well at the dog park and is friendly, playful, and tolerant. He`s fantastic with children of all ages and is always excited to make new friends. He does have a habit of jumping up in his excitement, but his sweet nature more than makes up for it. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
