My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonnie is a playful and affectionate pup who absolutely adores her humans. While she’s not super interested in toys, she thrives on connection and is happiest just hanging out with her people. She’s been learning how to play with other dogs and has done well around pups of all sizes and ages!

Bonnie was bottle-raised as a neonate, which may be why she’s so deeply people-motivated. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be your shadow, your sidekick, and your snuggle buddy.

Bonnie does have some skin allergies that have caused a little hair loss on her back legs, but she handles it like a champ and it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She’s active, happy, and always up for a stroll or an adventure.

She does have a few quirks that her future family should know: Bonnie can be food-guardy with other dogs, so she’ll need to be fed separately from dog friends. She also shows some barrier reactivity with new people, but she’s done great meeting people on leash and in open spaces.

Bonnie is looking for a home that understands her needs and is ready to give her the love and structure she deserves. In return, you’ll get the most loyal, cuddly, joyful companion you could ask for. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal best friend with a heart of gold, Bonnie might just be your girl.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
