Meet Flag: Flag is a 1-year-old Plott Hound mix who came to us from Georgia in 2024. He arrived as an orthopedic case and has since had corrective surgery. Flag is recovering very well and is ready to enjoy life at a comfortable, steady pace. Because of his recovery, Flag does not need a large yard—regular walks and low-impact activities are more than enough to keep him happy and healthy. He has a low to moderate energy level and would do well in a calm, supportive home. Flag does well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. He can be a little timid at times, especially in new situations, and benefits from patient, gentle handling. While there is no indication that Flag would not do well with children, he would thrive best in a home where his boundaries are respected, as is important for any dog. With time, consistency, and kindness, Flag will continue to build confidence and make a wonderful companion.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit the ranch. Our website adoptions page has all of our availalbe dogs and our adoption application at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. You are welcomed to come to the ranch seven days a week or you can make an appointment with our adoption desk. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
