Their adoption process

At Pet Central Helps! our number one priority is the health, safety, and well-being of pets and people! To accomplish this, adopters are asked to select a pet and submit an online adoption survey as the first step from https://petcentralhelps.org/available-pets/
**Staff is available via phone and e-mail only. Please email info@petcentralhelps.org with questions.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Visit our website at petcentralhelps.org and apply for the pet of your choice. Our website is the most "up to date" info for available pets.
  2. Interview
    1. An adoption specialist will reach out to discuss your adopter survey and go over an needs the pet may have.
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. All paperwork is done electronically, and once the paperwork is received and fee is paid, we will schedule a time to pick up your pet.
  4. Take the Pet Home
    1. Curbside Cuddles is usually on a Saturday. Arrive for your scheduled appointment and pick up your pet curbside!

Go meet their pets

In order to increase efficiency and to support the well-being of the pets in our care, the first time an adopter will meet the pet they are adopting is at their scheduled pick up time. Instead of meet-and-greets prior to adoptions, PCH supports a 21-day-no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match.

More about this rescue

Pet Central Helps is an animal rescue serving Central Illinois with its primary location in Bloomington, Illinois. We believe that pets and people belong together; that financial circumstances alone are not reliable indicators of the capacity to love and care for a companion animal.
