Their adoption process
After you have visited our shelter and chosen a pet you’d like to adopt, please complete an application. We require all adopters to meet the animal and spend time with them. We also offer sleep overs to make sure it is a good fit.

- If the adopter is adopting a dog they must have a fenced in yard.

Visitors love our new adoption center building. There is a nice meet and greet room and our kennels have all been updated.

The Humane Society of Wichita County is a non profit animal shelter located at 4360 Iowa Park Road, Wichita Falls Texas. For the past 35 years we have cared for the homeless, abused and abandoned animals in our area by providing food, shelter, medical care and affection until they can find their forever homes. The Humane Society of Wichita County also provides high quality, low cost medical services, boarding, Cuddle Service, and Rent-A-Rover.
