THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME.
Sylvia is a sweet and charming tuxedo cat with striking white paws that make her extra endearing. Because of her tuxedo coat and her impeccable manners, she always looks like she is ready to go to a gala. Sylvia has bright, inquisitive eyes that radiate warmth and curiosity, making her an irresistible little feline.
Background: Sylvia’s previous owner passed away and her family could not keep her so she's now seeking a loving home where she can be cherished and cared for.
Personality: Sylvia is a playful and affectionate cat who likes attention and companionship. She loves interactive play, chasing after feather toys. She equally enjoys playing with toys all by herself and will walk around with small toys in her mouth. Sometimes, she will bring them for you as gifts. When she's not exploring or playing, Sylvia enjoys cuddling and purring contently in the arms of her human companions. She's social and outgoing, and she is quick to make friends with other pets and people. She will do fine with older children. Sylvia has not been dog tested. At her foster home, she has never had a problem with litter-box usage.
Favorite Activities: Chasing feather toys, exploring new spaces, cozying up next to a window or her human companions, and showering them with love and affection.
Health: Sylvia is up to date on vaccinations and has been examined by a veterinarian. Sylvia has undergone a dental procedure to remove five teeth in the back of her mouth. This does not hinder her ability to eat solid food, wet food, or treats. Sylvia has also been diagnosed with Feline Herpes Virus (FHV). It is caused by a virus comparable to the virus that causes cold sores in humans but it presents itself similar to how we exhibit allergies. Don’t be alarmed at an occasional sneezing outbreak or the sniffles.
It is estimated that over 90% of cats have been exposed to the virus and as many as 50% have the active virus. Sylvia can take Lysine daily and she may need Famciclovir as needed for outbreaks. We will send home a full bottle of Famciclovir. Click here to read more about Feline Herpes in Cats.
Sylvia's adoption fee is $200.00. This includes spaying/neutering, FVRCP vaccination, rabies vaccination, combo test (neg/neg), dewormer, flea prevention, and wellness visits.
