Meet Roscoe – your future ride-or-die, cuddle pro, and water-loving best friend. This 6-year-old mixed breed has been waiting since December 2021 for his second chance at a forever home. He started in a rescue that shut down and has been living in a kennel ever since—that’s over 3.5 years without a home. But despite everything he’s been through, Roscoe remains full of love and ready to find his person.
Roscoe is mellow, potty trained, and has perfect house manners. He knows sit, down, and shake, takes treats gently, and is kennel trained. He recently went on a sleepover with a volunteer and completely charmed them with his calm, affectionate personality. He rides great in the car, loves to stick his head out the window, and is non-reactive on walks—he’s unfazed by other dogs, joggers, or cyclists.
His absolute favorite thing in the world? Water. Whether it’s splashing in a kiddie pool, chasing the hose, or going for a swim, Roscoe is all in. He’s also been friendly with larger dogs in the past, but a proper dog intro is required. He’s not a fan of small dogs or cats, and he gets a bit nervous around kids, so an adult-only home would be the best fit for him.
Roscoe is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and located in Phoenix, AZ. After waiting more than 3.5 years, he’s more than ready to find a home where he can finally relax and be loved.
