Meet Huey, a tiny little 7 month old Terrier mix who is just looking for someone to love. Huey was, sadly, found as a stray so we don't know what his previous home life was like.. He was adopted and brought back 2 days later, but they didn't tell us why they were returning him. Huey is the sweetest little boy there is, he truly is 11 pounds of love! He can be a bit shy with new people, which is understandable given his background as a stray and being returned; but once you start baby talking him and slowly giving him pets, he is your new best friend! It took staff all of 3 hours to gain this little guys trust and now he runs around and jumps in our laps and just wanted to be loved and cuddled! He's met a few other smaller dogs and was eager to play with them. He's respectful of other dogs, but we encourage if you have another dog in the home to schedule a time so they can meet before going home together. Huey loves having soft beds to curl up in, toys to play with and people to love on! We do think Huey would do okay with children who have been around dogs before and know not to just run up and grab them or pull on their ears and tails. Huey does very well with learning potty routines, but he will need some time and patience adjusting to a routine in his new home. Heuy's neutered, current on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
