My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet HOKU – a big-hearted boy with a larger-than-life personality! 🐾❤️
At 4 years old and built like a boulder, Hoku is a lovable powerhouse ready to roll into your life. He came to us underweight and battling double ear infections, but with care and time, he's bounced back beautifully and is now searching for a home to call his own for over 880 days. Hoku is sweet, goofy, and affectionate—he adores people and hasn’t shown any aggression toward humans. He’s full of love and always up for a good cuddle or a fun romp. That said, due to his enthusiasm (and tank-like zoomies), he’d do best in a home without young children—he might accidentally knock them over with his excitement! When it comes to other pets, Hoku prefers to be the only animal in the home. In a previous home, mealtime routines created tension between him and other dogs. To help him thrive, a calm, structured environment without other pets is best. Hoku enjoys predictability and will shine with clear boundaries and lots of love. No cats, please—Hoku says he’s strictly a “dog-person.” 😉 If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s ready to be your one-and-only, Hoku might just be your perfect match. He’s got a big heart, a goofy grin, and a whole lot of love to give. Come meet him—you might just fall for this lovable boulder! 🖤🐶
