Hi, I’m Chucky — your future best friend (if you can keep up!)

I’ve got energy for days, love for everyone, and a heart bursting with excitement to finally find my forever home. I’ve been at CNHS longer than anyone else — I’ve seen so many dogs come and go. I wag them goodbye with a hopeful heart, thinking maybe my turn is next.

Let’s be real: I’m a bit of a wild child. I love to run, bounce, and play hard — especially with other dogs who can match my rough-and-rowdy style. I could definitely use some training and leash manners (okay, a lot), but I promise I’m worth the effort. I just need someone patient, active, and ready to show me the ropes.

I’m not picky — if you’ve got love, I’m all in. I’m ready for adventures, belly rubs, and a place to finally call home. Could that be you?

We have a quick adoption application, then a contract we ask to be filled out. From there, you and your new best friend are ready to go home!

Please stop into Central Nebraska Humane Society at 1312 Sky Park Rd in Grand Island. Weekday hours are 10-6. Saturday hours are 10-5 and Sundays we are open 1-5.
