More about this rescue

We are a small, but growing, organization. We started officially rescuing under this name in 2014 when we noticed a gap in the local rescue world for one of our favorite breeds, pit bulls. There are rescues in the Dallas area and some surrounding cities, but there were no bully breed rescues based out of Parker County. Weatherford and Mineral Wells shelters are busting at the seams with dogs and many of them are considered bully breeds. While it is better now that it once was, these breeds are typically euthanized more often than other breeds without regard to temperament. We were already rescuing animals from shelters on a small scale, but we wanted to go bigger and refocus our goal, and that is when we became "Peach Pits". We still rescue all breeds and even cats, but you will notice that many of our dogs are bully breeds as they hold a special place in our hearts. Our main priority will always be to prevent euthanasia and homelessness for pits and other animals but we also want to spread awareness of how awesome the breed is through education. Eventually, want to help those in need with spay/neuter and vaccinations a little further down the road. One of our goals is to keep our adoption fees affordable, so donations are always appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!
