Benson is a 3½-year-old Akita / Husky / German Shepherd mix with a huge heart and a deep love for his people. He’s incredibly loyal, affectionate, and takes his role as protector of the home very seriously. Once he bonds with you, he’s all in — the kind of dog who will love you unconditionally and always be by your side.

He’s fully potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go out or wants to come back in. He doesn’t chew anything that isn’t his, but give him a new toy and he’ll happily destroy it. He loves to play fetch, enjoys attention, and does best when he has space to run or someone who can give him plenty of physical activity and structure. He’s up to date on vaccines and microchipped, and he’s a smart, attentive dog who really wants to connect with his person.

Benson would do best in a home with a large, fenced yard or with someone very active. He needs to be the only pet in the home.
