Bibi, a gentle yet timid dog, derives her name from the Swahili word for `mother.` She and her puppies were rescued by a local rescue from scheduled euthanasia due to a mange mite infection. Time in a foster home revealed Bibi`s lack of socialization and preference for outdoor living. Hallie Hill was then asked to take her in, providing her with the opportunity to become more accustomed to human interaction. Bibi is heartworm negative! Thanks to the patience and love of our volunteers, BiBi is slowly coming out of her shell. She now greets familiar faces with cautious tail wags and has started to lean into gentle pets. She still prefers the quiet comfort of a shady spot or cozy blanket, but her trust is growing with each kind word and soft touch.
BiBi is also a foodie! Treats are the way to her heart and a great tool for bonding. She gets along well with other dogs and would likely do best in a calm home with a friendly canine companion to show her the ropes and boost her confidence.
