This helps Central Texas Dachshund Rescue with pet care costs.
UPDATE:
Arty is a mature character who wants to share cuddles and short bursts of puppy energy. She does well with other dogs. She loves car rides and short walks and howls excitedly when she sees her leash. She's calm and relaxed most of the time, more interested in being close to her favorite humans than hunting or playing, but she'll let you know when she wants to chase a toy. Arty still has some bounce that she'll use to spring into your lap when invited, but is happy to curl up in her bed if you're busy.
Arty came to the rescue with her older sister after their owner passed away, but since then her sister has also passed. After so much change she's looking for her forever home to enjoy her senior years.
You’ll never tire of sinking your fingers into Arty’s dense, luxurious coat as she curls up beside you for a cozy lap nap. This sweet girl enjoys the simple pleasures in life and takes everything at her own gentle pace.
Arty gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, though she does appreciate a little time to warm up and feel comfortable. Once she does, her calm and affectionate nature truly shines. She loves spending time sunbathing outdoors and then curling up to cuddle and burrow under the covers on the big bed.
Independent and patient by nature, Arty still enjoys walks and cuddles when you invite her. She rides well in the car, is leash trained, and crate trained, making her an easy companion to have by your side.
Arty came to CTDR with her best friend, Cheeky, after their owner passed away. These two girls share a special bond and must be adopted together. They are simply looking for a loving family where they can spend their golden years together.
If you would like to give Arty and Cheeky the forever home they deserve, please complete an adoption application at www.ctdr.org.
