Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Speckles! Speckles is a beautiful 4 year old red heeler mix that is ready to meet her forever family. She's the perfect size at about 45lbs. Speckles is deaf but she doesn't let that get in the way of anything. She loves people and kids and goes crazy for a tennis ball. She is excellent in the car and loves to go. She jumps right in and lays down. She'd love to be your adventure buddy.
Speckles is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. She is housetrained, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, spayed, and microchipped.

Our adoptable animals are fostered in loving homes throughout Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding area. Because we do not operate a physical shelter, meet-and-greets are arranged by appointment only—typically after an adoption application has been submitted and approved.

More about this rescue
Friends of Rescue is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama with transport locations throughout the Great Lakes and New England. FOR is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2009.
Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from overcrowded Southern shelters where limited space, minimal funding, and high intake rates often lead to euthanasia.
We are not professional trainers or animal behaviorists—just dedicated individuals working together to give these animals a second chance. Every pet in our program lives in a loving foster home and receives age-appropriate veterinary care while awaiting adoption.
Our ultimate goal is to match each animal with a committed, compassionate individual or family who will provide a FORever home.
