Sadie is a beautiful 2-year-old Collie mix with a fun, active spirit and a sweet heart. Sadie really enjoys going for walks and getting outdoors and would love a family that camps or is looking for a walking and hiking buddy. She is fully housetrained and leash trained. Sadie knows basic commands and has had some formal training. Once it’s time to relax, you’ll find her happily chewing on her bones and squeaking her favorite toys. Sadie is a real cuddle bug and will happily snuggle on the couch with you!
Sadie can be shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes a happy and loyal companion who enjoys being close. She seems to prefer adults and older children, since sudden movements and noises have been known to startle her. Sadie currently lives with multiple dogs in her foster home but would also be content being an only dog.
Sadie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. Her foster home is located in St. Louis County. Her adoption fee is $325. You can apply for Sadie here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITMD/Dog, and her foster family will be in touch with you!

Additional adoption info
We want to make this easy and we want to be sure that the dog you are interested in is a fit for you. Finding a dog or pup that works with your schedule and lifestyle is key to our placement. The questions on the application help us know if the dog you choose will do well in your home. Number of hours your dog is home alone, fenced yard, exercise plan, other family members – pets included; those are important things we want to discuss with you and your chosen canine. We do require a vet reference.
The application is on our website: Istodaymydayrescue.org. Complete and send. You can expect a reply within 24-48 hours. All of our dogs are in foster homes, we will then contact the foster and arrange a meeting. The foster might want to do a home visit or you might meet at a convenient location. If it is a good fit, some adoptions can be completed at that time of the meeting.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All of our dogs are micro chipped, wormed, heartworm tested if over 6 months, on heartworm preventative, treated for fleas, and have age appropriate vaccines. Pups under 16 weeks require ongoing vaccines every 2 to 3 weeks.
All of our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new dog or puppy into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours.

More about this rescue
“Is today my day?” That is what every rescue dog asks. “Is today the day that I find a home, get a family, discover that I am a best friend”? We want to tell those dogs: “Yes, it is!”
We are a foster based rescue who aims to serve south central Missouri, an area with a low human population and a high canine population. Our mission is to help dogs from this area find homes in the St. Louis area through adoptions and transfers from shelters, rural animal controls and dog pounds. After covering spay/neuter costs, 20% of each adoption fee goes to our emergency medical fund so we can help canine accident victims, pay for emergency surgery or unexpected medical needs.
We do community service cases monthly to help people in our communities keep their pets, whether it is to pay a vet bill, provide dog food, community spay/neuter or pay service animal fees, our community service is focused on helping people keep their pet in the home.
We are foster home based and do not have a facility. We are only able to accept a dog or puppy when a foster home is available. All dogs and pups are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and on heart worm prevention when age appropriate, wormed, and treated for fleas and ticks.
