My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delphi Marie, a sweet 1 ½-year-old female cat who is still learning to trust after being brought in as a stray. Unfortunately, she was dumped outside and had to fend for herself, which has made her a bit cautious and cage aggressive in her current environment. She’s looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to warm up at her own pace.

Delphi Marie absolutely loves other cats and would thrive in a multi-cat home where she can feel more secure and have a feline companion to help her settle in. With a little patience and a calm, loving environment, Delphi Marie will begin to trust and show her sweet, affectionate side.

If you’re looking for a cat who needs a second chance and are willing to work with her to build that trust, Delphi Marie could be the perfect fit for you. She just needs the right person to help her feel safe and loved. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!

Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/).

Select cats can be fostered instead! Apply on our website.

A cat's behavior in the shelter may not be what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Most often, in a home, they thrive!

Kitten Policy: Kittens must be able to socialize with other young cats or dogs as playmates, as it is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.

Due to demand, we do not place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet all cats or kittens available for adoption at the time of visit.

If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals with a 'No-Kill' policy. Our efforts are focused primarily on finding loving homes for the many cats that are strays, abused, abandoned, surrendered or impounded. All animals are given medical attention, spay/neutered and vaccinated before placement. We are a small shelter comprised of 100% volunteers dedicated to helping homeless cats find their forever families.
