My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blue Monkey: A Loyal Heart Looking for a Fresh Start

Blue Monkey is a sweet 6-year-old, loving girl who has found herself back at the rescue through no fault of her own. Her owner is experiencing homelessness and is no longer able to financially care for her — a heartbreaking situation that led Blue Monkey to need a new beginning with a family who can offer stability and love.

This affectionate girl is house trained, knows her basic commands, and absolutely adores being with her people. She’s playful and cuddly in equal measure, happy to curl up close for snuggles or head outside for some fun. Fetch is one of her favorite activities and she loves running around and stretching her legs.

Blue Monkey is a total people-dog who thrives on companionship and connection. She’s not a big fan of the cold, but she makes up for it by being an excellent couch companion when it’s chilly out. Sweet, lovable, and eager to please, she has so much love left to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side and play a good game of fetch, Blue Monkey may be the perfect match to complete your family. 🐾💙

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
