Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE: fill out an application at www.browndogcoalition.com/cats after reading the entirety of the adoption profile. Inquiries will slow down the adoption process.
When Ty first came to us, we noticed that he had the most adorable little bent tail! He was affectionate and loved to play with anything he could chase. He was always very smart and we quickly learned he could figure out any puzzle toy in seconds flat. Ty is most definitely a foodie!
Within a period of months of being in foster, Ty went through an episode of constipation that responded well to Miralax. When it happened again second time, we realized there was an underlying problem. Ty was diagnosed with megacolon, which basically means he doesn’t have normal muscle tone in his lower intestine, and that he would need medication for life to help him move his bowels normally. He required at that time a procedure to help him clear his intestine, but after that, he was put on a medication regimen that has so far been working well to keep him regular. He requires twice daily medication for this, but everything gets mixed into his meals, and because he’s such a foodie , he eats everything up no problem!
Ty also likes to nip at wrists and arms, so he cannot go with children. He requires an experienced handler, minimal handling and playing with hands free toys like feather wands, puzzle toys, and catnip toys.
He does like having windows and perches to look out and observe all the activities outside the window Ty does need to be an only cat, or to have a dedicated space of his own.
Pre-adoption meetings to review adoption plans, paperwork, payment, and contracts will be done through Google Meet. Approved adopters must be available to pick up their cat/kitten(s) in Hudson, MA by appointment.
- Kittens/cats may not be given as gifts or surprises. - Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical safety and financial and emotional responsibilities of a kitten/cat BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fee can be found at www.browndogcoalition.com/cats
