Amelia is an adorable brown and white tabby, 1 year and 9 months old, with a big personality packed into a petite package. She was originally adopted from the shelter as a kitten but was sadly returned through no fault of her own. After coming back, our medical team assessed her and discovered she was battling Panleukopenia. Amelia bravely spent time in quarantine and has since fully recovered, and she’s now healthy and ready for her next (and forever) chapter.
This girl is equal parts sassy and affectionate. Amelia likes to set the pace. If you move too fast, she may give a little hiss to let you know she needs space. But approach her calmly and respectfully, and she’ll reward you with a soft meow and a gentle head rub against her kennel. Once she feels comfortable, her silly, charming side really shines through.
Amelia has been around other cats and does great with them. We’re unsure how she feels about dogs, so any introductions to new pets should be slow and closely monitored to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved. One sure way to win her heart? Churu squeeze treats, they’re her absolute favorite!
When adopting any new pet, it’s important to remember that trust takes time and patience. With a calm, understanding home willing to let her open up at her own pace, Amelia will blossom into a wonderful, entertaining, and loving companion.
