My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blake is a wonderful boy he estimated to be around 2 years old. Blake is a "lover", he wants all of your attention and reaches for you when your walk by. He will stare a hole in you waiting for you to acknowledge him! He is charming and sweet, he stays in one of our community cat rooms so he would not only be a great companion to you, but can get along with other cats as well.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application.

Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them if adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved.

We are registered with the USDA and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks.

Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV tested, Microchip, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you

More about this rescue

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 2 to 3 weeks) with pre-adopted animals. Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently. Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
