Darla is a sleek, black beauty with a quiet spirit and a heart that beats strongest for her fellow felines. She's been with us since January 2024, patiently waiting for the right home. Darla is looking for a home that understands her for who she is: a gentle soul who finds comfort in the company of cats more than people.
Darla lives in our community cat room and gets along beautifully with other cats. She’s well-socialized among her peers and we often catch her curled up with a buddy or on a shelf watching the humans clean the room. When it comes to humans, she’s still learning to trust. We believe the environment is a factor. She’ll occasionally accept a soft pet, but affection on her terms is best.
Darla is perfect for:
A home with one or more friendly cats
A patient adopter who understands shy kitties
Someone who believes the quietest cats often have the biggest hearts
Darla may never be a lap cat. With time and love, she could become a loyal, peaceful presence in your home and a true friend to your feline. She’s earned her chance at forever and we believe her perfect match is out there.

For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.
Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and flea/tick prevention.
