Hi there! My name is Goofy and it looks like I am right back where I started as a puppy! I was adopted from the shelter a while short while ago. I thought things were going just great and I guess they were. My owner then moved out of town and I couldn’t go with her, so she left me with her parents. Problem was, they were older and I am not a “small” dog! They were worried that they couldn’t handle me, so they returned me to the shelter. Anyway, I am a terrier mix that is about a year old. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. As my name suggests I am a funny and “goofy” boy that would be great in a family surrounded by friends and family!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
