He truly enjoys having furry friends around and would likely thrive in a home with another dog to help him feel confident and keep him company. He especially loves to play with other dogs and would be so happy to have a playful sibling in his forever home.
Trooper is incredibly friendly and happiest when he’s close to his person or people. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, doing chores around the house, or just moving from room to room, you can count on Trooper to be right there with you. He bonds deeply and loves being part of the family.
While he’s a loving and happy boy, Trooper can be sensitive to loud noises or a lot of activity. Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.
So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
