My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A Heart that’s Waiting to Heal
Meet Luna/Chloe

Chloe (also known as Luna) is a beautiful soul who is currently a shell of the dog she used to be. Not long ago, Chloe was the confident one. She had a home, a family, and a sister by her side. But when her owner passed away, her world was turned upside down.
While we are so incredibly happy that her sister has found a forever home and a fresh start, Chloe is still waiting for her turn.

Being in a boarding kennel for four months has taken a heavy toll on this sweet girl. She is grieving, she is confused, and she is shutting down. The trauma of her loss has left her so fearful that some days she can’t even find the courage to step out of a car during her field trips.

She is now the dog who stands quietly in the corner during playgroup because she is simply overwhelmed by the world around her.
She is so scared that she sometimes loses control of her bladder, a silent plea from a dog who just wants to feel safe again.

But beneath the fear, the "old" Chloe is still there. We see glimpses of her whenever a small, friendly dog walks by, or in the gentle way she greets the staff who care for her. She hasn't barked, she hasn't shown an ounce of aggression, and she is truly, deeply sweet.

She is a silent, gentle companion who is simply waiting for a quiet home where the energy is positive and the patience is endless.

Chloe isn't looking for a high-energy adventure; she’s looking for a sanctuary. She needs a person who understands that trust is built in small steps—like finally feeling brave enough to hop out of a car or learning that a human hand only brings kindness.

Because she is a flight risk when spooked, she needs a secure environment and a heart that won't give up on her.

Chloe is shrinking before our eyes, but she doesn't have to. She just needs to know that her story didn't end when her owner passed.

Please share her story so we can find the person who will help her finally exhale and come home.

If you would like to give Chloe a chance please apply to adopt or foster her at pawsitivedifference.org or email adopt@pawsitivedifference.or
