Their adoption process

There is an application process and for each kitten or cat adopted there will be a $150.00 adoption donation to help defray our costs. Our adoption donation is still very competitive as anyone who has been to the vets recently will attest to.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
  2. Meet the Pet
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
  4. Take the Pet Home

Go meet their pets

Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their adoption.

You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are adopted out with Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to adoption day. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours.
The adoption donation is $250.00 each after an approved application. This is not a sale, but an adoption donation. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any adoption of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!

This is a real bargain as locally a spay is $270.00, plus shots and a $50.00 office visit. A neuter is usually $150.00, plus the $50.00 office visit and extra for shots. Many vets charge $48.50 to test for feline aids and leukemia, so as you can see, we are very reasonable!!

We feed only the best food as we believe that a healthy immune system is the cornerstone to a healthy cat or kitten.

We are in constant need of money and volunteers to do foster care as well as meet and greet the potential adopters at PETCO. If you would like to volunteer please contact us at catadoptionteam@aol.com

More about this rescue

Cat Adoption Team Services, (CATS) is a private, non profit, humane rescue group. Donations to CATS can be made through your work place going to the United Way. Just be sure to put Cat Adoption Team Services as the recipient of your donation.

Our number one goal is to promote the spaying and neutering of cats and kittens to help eliminate the over population problem and to help stem the needless killing of so many unwanted, unplanned, helpless cats and kittens. We do endorse the spaying and neutering of all companion animals. We strive to educate the general public of the importance of spay/neuter. We help facilitate the adoption of as many cats and kittens, as we can, to permanent, responsible, loving homes. We totally support the TNR concept and the benefits of TNR.
