My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fern! Fern has been passed over time and time again and has unfortunately become our longest resident. Fern came to us as a semi-feral puppy, absolutely terrified and in rough shape. Thankfully dogs are incredibly resilient, and Fern quickly blossomed into a happy, outgoing girl. Because Fern has grown up in the shelter environment, she is looking for a family that will be understanding of her behavioral "quirks" and give her time to adjust to life in a home. Fern has had barrier reactivity issues with other dogs and may do best as the only dog, or with a tolerant and playful dog. She would do best in a home without cats. Fern absolutely adores humans and would love an active family that will keep her engaged and entertained. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Fern home. If you are interested in meeting with Fern, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
