Choochoo coming through! This big boy is big time sad at the shelter. He still owner searches and paces weeks into his shelter stay. When we can get a few minutes of his focus, Choochoo is just a baby. He leans into us when we pet him and respects our personal space when we crouch down to his level. Choochoo is as large as he looks and can be strong on the leash when he wants to go. Outside of the shelter might been a different story but we won’t know for sure until he gets his second chance.

The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
