This senior gal is the pawfect addition to a family looking for a calm, mature, and loving dog. Beauty can be shy at first, (especially towards men) but comes around quick with some treats! Matter of fact, Beauty can't turn down a single snack opportunity. This living vacuum cleaner will keep your floors clean and counter clear! Can't teach an old dog new tricks?HA! Beauty is so food motivated, you can teach her to do anything!
Beauty gets along with other dogs, but it would be best to do a meet and greet before considering adoption to ensure they are a good match! Sometimes this gal can get a bit excited and may mount/hump her pals during play.
Don't let her kennel behavior be the judge of her, she prefers to be in a cage free environment! This gal has spent most of her years in a real home and just wants to return to pampered pet paradise! Submit Application

If you see an animal you would like to meet, complete our online application. You will receive an email with the next steps.

2.
Meet the Pet

Visit the facility where the animal is located. If in foster care, the foster will set up a time to meet with you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

One of our adoption counselors will review the animal's medical history and walk you through the paperwork.

4.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once the adoption process is complete, you can bring your furry friend home!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
