My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tornader! a resilient and high-spirited 3-year-old mixed breed whose journey to BDRR is a testament to canine resilience. In September 2024, shortly after Hurricane Helene struck North Carolina, Tornader was found as a stray—injured, alone, and in urgent need of care. Despite his physical trauma and the emotional stress associated with displacement, Tornader maintained a strong, optimistic spirit throughout his recovery. Thanks to our wonderful Veterinary Staff we found Tornader has bullet fragments in his arm truly testifying his bravery to overcome a traumatic past and showing his unwavering forgiveness! Tornader has healed remarkably well and is now ready for the next chapter of his life a loving, permanent home. He is mastering potty training as well as his basic commands always eager to learn. Tornader is dog-social and enjoys playing with other well-matched canine companions. While he’s playful he’ll happily curl up for cuddle time and affection from his humans. Given his balanced temperament and trainability, Tornader could be a great fit for any home with his adaptability and loving personality. He is a shining example of resilience, affection, and enthusiasm for life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with both strength and heart, Tornader is ready to bring joy, energy, and unconditional love into your life.
