Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jewel is a gentle, sweet girl who shares a close bond with her brother Fidget. The two are often found curled up together, finding comfort in each other’s presence. Jewel is calm and observant, and is starting to enjoy gentle human interaction as she learns that affection can be trusted.
Jewel and Fidget came into care in August 2024 at just 4 months old and have grown up in the shelter together. A slow, patient introduction to their new home will help Jewel adjust from shelter life. Once she feels safe and secure in her surroundings, her loving nature will shine and she will make a wonderful companion.

More about this shelter
The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
