Jayden is a beautiful 10-year-old classic brown tabby who came to HART from a rescue partner here in Maine in the winter of 2022. While we don’t know much about her life before arriving at the shelter or how many of her nine lives she may have already used, Jayden came to us very under-socialized and fearful of people.
Over time, she has made wonderful progress thanks to the patience and dedication of our Shy Angels Socialization Program volunteers, who have helped her build confidence and trust at her own pace. Jayden is very playful and enjoys interactive toys. With staff and volunteers she knows well, she has begun to show her affectionate side and has even been known to give tiny kisses to her favorite people, including our Medical Manager. It is truly the sweetest thing.
Jayden is looking for a calm, quiet home with experienced and patient adopters who can read her body language, appreciate her “spicy” side, and continue supporting her journey toward becoming a confident companion. Jayden would love to be an only kitty in a home of her own with a person or couple who truly gets her.
