Their adoption process

Our first priority is our dogs & puppies. We try to make sure to match up the dog or puppy that is best suited for the family. We work with and train every dog/puppy while in our care, to give them & you the best start.

Adoption steps

  1. Meet the Pet
We like everyone that will be living in the home with the dog or puppy, including other dogs living in the home, to do a meet and greet
  2. Submit Application
It is important to fill out the application completely to keep the process moving forward
  3. Home Check
We do this to insure the dog or puppy will be in a safe home. If a distance over 50 miles, may be able to do by video.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
We have a adoption contract to be signed
  5. Pay Fee
Adoption fees are not refundable, as stated in the contract
  6. Take the Pet Home
We give you instructions on feeding & care, and training ques & instructions we have trained with each dog/puppy

Go meet their pets

You can meet our dogs & puppies at our rescue located at
1681 Parkway Dr. Crescent City, Ca.
Please give us a call or text at (707) 457-2511 to let us know you are coming and which dog or puppy you are interested in. We have volunteers come and take some of them out for a day trip about town or to the beaches, to keep them socialized and happy. We want to make sure the dog/puppy you want to meet, is here for you.
We have adoption events we attend or host during the year so please check our Facebook page "Camp Barry

More about this rescue

Camp Barry is an all volunteer based 501(c)(3) non profit located in Crescent City, California.

We specialize in taking litters of unwanted, neglected and abandoned puppies. We have also pulled older medical dogs and puppies from our local pound, we have provided a safe space for dogs to stay and decompress until they can be transferred to another rescue and if we have space available we do take owner surrenders.

To us it doesn't matter where they come from or how long they will spend with us, all we know is they need and deserve a safe, loving and nurturing environment until they can find a forever home
We work with and begin training with every dog & puppy while at our rescue. This gives them a good start to a new life.

Camp Barry has saved hundreds of dogs and puppies since we began our mission in January 2018!

We work on social skills, positive reinforcement, potty training and show them what it is like to live in a home with a family. We try to set each pup up for success and teach them skills that they can take with them when they are adopted into their forever families.
