My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi, my name is Pizzazz! I'm a stunning red mackerel tabby with a heart as soft as my delicate coloring. My fiery coat is truly one-of-a-kind, especially for a girl, making me a rare beauty in the feline world. But beyond my gorgeous appearance, I'm an old soul who’s looking for a quiet, understanding home where I can truly shine.

I am shy by nature, but with the right person—someone patient, kind, and calm—I begin to blossom. I prefer peaceful environments and thrive with humans who move at my pace, offering love and reassurance without pressure. Once I feel safe, my quiet affection and tender presence are incredibly rewarding.

One of my favorite things is spending time with the kittens at Sheltering Hands. I'm a nurturing companion and am wonderfully social with other cats, often found cuddled up with my feline friends or quietly keeping the younger ones company. My loving spirit and caring heart make me a perfect match for a calm, cat-friendly household.

If you're looking for a truly special cat with a unique look and a soulful personality, I may be the one to steal your heart.

Estimated Birthdate: 7/14/2024

Likes: Playing with other kitties - especially kittens, and patient humans.

Dislikes: Being overlooked - I am unique!

Volunteer Update:  Pizzazz is not a people cat, but is definitely a cats cat.   She enjoys the company of other cats and so far as kittens come and go from Bobbies Room she has not met one she didn't enjoy meeting.  She has a huge heart and is especially attracted to those kittens who seem to need a little more emotional support.  She takes them under her wing, hangs out with them, washes them and teaches them the ropes.  Recently she has taken June Bug under her wing and I see them together all the time.

Staff Update:  Although not very good at getting petted, once she knows you she will happily wag her tail and squeek at you.  She would be great company for another shy cat.

To schedule a meet/greet with this pawsome kitty, we recommend that you complete a Pre-Adoption Application, which is available here:   https://www.shelteringhands.org/adoptionapplication.
