The words that best describe Kaia are happy-go-lucky! She is just a happy girl who wants nothing more than to please everyone she meets. If you even glance in Kaia's direction her entire body (not just her tail!) begins to wag and wiggle! We cannot figure out how this sweet girl wound up a stray in Brooklyn, but she did. She then found herself in the shelter where she sat and waited for her family to come, but they never did. Luckily, one of our volunteers read sweet Kaia's story and got to the shelter in the nick of time!
Kaia is a 2 year old pit/boxer mix. She is a petite girl at only 33 lbs, so we're sure she's got some other breeds mixed in, but we can't figure out what. What we are sure of is Kaia's sweet disposition. She absolutely adores everyone she meets and greets them with a full body wag and a shower of kisses! She is living with 2 dogs in her foster home and she does the same thing to them, following along beside wagging away and kissing their faces. She is fine with cats, but some cats may not tolerate Kaia's love and attention! Her favorite pastime (as you can see from the pictures) is playing with her squeaky toys. She carries them around squeaking away and happily rolls on her back playing. She is an absolute delight!
Kaia is perfect in the house, completely housebroken. She is fine alone while her family is at work all day and can be trusted uncrated. She knows to play with her toys, but never touches things that don't belong to her. She loves to lay in her foster mom's lap and get lots of belly rubs. She is excellent on walks and would make a terrific jogging partner. Her foster dad jogs with her everyday and she stays right by his side, never pulling or tugging. She would love an active family who would take her on long walks, jogs or hikes as she is still young and needs that exercise daily!
