Meet Lucky, a one-year-old sweetheart who’s equal parts hiking buddy and snuggle champion. This handsome, medium-sized pup is all heart — gentle, affectionate, and ready to give his whole soul to someone who’ll love him back.
Lucky used to live in a home, and shelter life has been really hard on him. It’s loud, stressful, and confusing for such a sensitive boy. But the moment you step outside with him, you’ll see who he truly is — calm, smart, and full of quiet joy.
We took Lucky on a three-mile hike to stretch his legs and lift his spirits, and he was perfect. He walks beautifully on leash, listens like a pro, and has the kind of good manners that make you wonder if he’s secretly been to finishing school. His white “socks” and soulful brown eyes will melt you faster than you can say “good boy.”
When I tripped and skinned my knee, Lucky immediately climbed into my lap to make sure I was okay. 🥹 That’s just who he is — gentle, caring, and deeply in tune with his people. He’s not so sure about swimming yet (the lake was very suspicious), but with patience and encouragement, he’ll be splashing right beside you in no time.
Lucky is great with older kids (the little ones might get toppled by his enthusiasm) and would thrive with an active family who also loves couch time — because as much as he enjoys a good adventure, he’s equally happy curling up beside you and soaking in all the love.
He’s fully vetted, eager to please, and oh-so-ready to head home — your home.

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.
We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.
