My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

So you thought you couldn't find a pure bred dog at a shelter, huh? Not so! Patches had a DNA test done while he's been here at Anderson and it came back as 100% Catahoula Leopard Dog! He is a sweet and friendly boy, though sometimes takes a minute to warm up to new people. But once he knows you and is comfortable, he's a love! With his cheerful personality and endless enthusiasm, he's the kind of dog who'll greet friends with a wagging tail and a big smile. Patches is always ready to bring joy and love into every moment.

True to his breed, Patches is a playful pup with boundless energy! He loves to run, jump, and chase after anything that moves. But don't let his excitement fool you - he's also a gentle and affectionate companion, always ready for cuddles after a fun play session.

Friendly, playful, and full of energy, Patches is the perfect furry friend who makes every day a little brighter!

Patches is an All-Star dog! His adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption. Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get them off to a good start! To schedule an appointment to meet Patches, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you!

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Ask fosters@ahconnects.org about fostering Patches, while he waits for his forever home!
