Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Grand Piano, I am a 6 year old, neutered male, short-haired cat. I was part of a feral colony and brought to MaxFund for an injury December 2024, now I am looking for my fur-ever home!
I am very scared and nervous, since I was a stray I have not yet learned that people are nice and I might hiss at you. I need someone who will be patient with me and give me the time and space I need to feel comfortable and come out of my shell. If you do come to meet me, please go slowly and be gentle, let me approach you. I may open up more over time, once I get used to the shelter environment.
I haven`t met any dogs or kids, I am ok around other cats. If you have kids, you can bring them to meet me! If you have a dog, the shelter staff can test me with a MaxFund dog and see how I do.
If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please come to the shelter to meet me! The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 - 4:30, Closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch.

More about this shelter
The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only.
The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
