Onus came into our care in March 2024. He has tested positive for FIV which just means his little immune system is not as strong as a normal cat's would be. This also means he would have to be an INDOOR ONLY cat and is reccomended to have normal vet check-ups every 6 months. He would need to go to a home with another FIV+ cat or no other cats at all to not further spread FIV. You may see him batting a toy around or laying in a cat tree. He is coming out of his shell quickly and appreciates lots of pets and affection to continue helping him explore his surroundings with confidence. Onus is a very sweet friendly boy and LOVES other FIV+ kitty friends to keep him company. Ask the staff for more details if you would like to give this little guy a home to cuddle you in!
His adoption fee is only $75 and includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, de-worm, flea treatment, and microchip ID.
If you are interested in meeting Onus, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

More about this shelter
Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.
We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.
Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
