Meet Sukuna (VALL-A-4273)!
Our handsome boy came to us in March of 2022 with very mixed feelings about people. Soon after being surrendered, it was discovered that he is FIV+ and living outside was no longer an option for him despite his initial feisty personality. Being FIV+, his immune system is weaker than a cat his age would be. This does not affect his lifespan at all and he is still a very healthy boy! Sukuna is required to go into an indoor only home with either no other cats or only other FIV+ cats. After receiving some much needed TLC, Sukuna has grown to be a big goofy, sweetheart who loves to steal the spotlight. He loves having friends to play and cuddle with so he does AMAZING with his fellow FIV+ roommates. Although he has made much progress, Sukuna can still be expressive when he feels a boundary has been crossed, but its nothing some patience and tasty treats can't fix. Sukuna is looking for a home where it is understood that he will need time to gain trust and let his inner cuddle-bug out. Although he loves his feline friends, we recommend a slow introduction to any resident cats. Sukuna is not recommended for a home with a dog as he is not dog friendly.

More about this shelter
Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.
We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.
Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
