My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm America, or Maddie to my friends. I'm a stunning six-year-old gray and white medium-haired kitty with a story to tell. After being found pregnant outside a car repair shop and giving birth to eight adorable kittens, I faced some health issues due to the stress of the pregnancy, but my amazing vet got me back on track. I was adopted out to a home with a feline foe who didn't want a housemate. That really stressed me out. But I've used my fighting spirit and veterinary care to bounce back once again, and now I'm ready to find my forever home where I can be someone's little shadow. I love being around my humans, responding to my name, and following you from room to room, but I'm not clingy and can occupy myself when left alone. I'll give you subtle hints if I need some space, so a home with kids would not be appropriatefor me, but I should do well with a cat-friendly dog but
no other cats, please. My ideal home would be a quiet one with a cat tree by a sunny window, maybe a scale to keep me trim, and a laser toy or two to keep me active; I'm spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, and ready to bring joy and companionship into your life as your loyal and loving shadow.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit based in the Phoenix metro area that rescues and rehabilitates stray, feral, and abandoned animals, primarily kittens and cats.
