Here's what the humans have to say about me:
From a volunteer 6/22:
"Ive had the pleasure of spending time with this gentle giant. Apollo is calm fellow who just wants to spend time with his people. He is happy just sitting at your feet watching tv and then will suddenly get a bit of a burst of playfulness. I think this is just his way of showing how happy he is to be with you. I have taken him to several events and he has done excellently at all of them. He is definitely a good dog for someone that likes to take their dog everywhere. He would enjoy getting to go to outdoor patios or hiking with you but contented at home hanging out as well. He rides well in the car, jumps in on his own (I typically have a treat in there and he knows it). He is very treat/food motivated and takes his treats very gently. Due to his larger size, he gives a good sense of security for anyone looking for a dog to go on walks with as well.
He was recently featured as the "Pet of the Week" on WREG Live at 9 and was a perfect gentleman.
He is not an outdoor dog as he wants to be in the mix with the family. He loves with all his huge heart and one cant help but fall back in love with him. Schedule a meet and greet with him today, you'll be glad you did!"
Meet Apollo!
Apollo is a playful and affectionate pup with a personality as bright as his name. He already knows the "sit" command and loves spending time with his favorite toys. Apollo walks well on a leash, though he’s a bit unsure in the kitchen area and might need some encouragement there.
This silly boy has a fun mix of energy and aloofness, keeping you entertained with his playful antics while also enjoying some independent moments. Apollo is social and curious, showing interest in both people and other dogs. He’s always excited, whether indoors or out, and sometimes greets with an enthusiastic jump—his way of saying he’s happy to see you!
Apollo would thrive in a home that’s ready for lots of fun, love, and a little patience to help him feel confident in every space. Come meet this lively and lovable pup!
On 12/19/24 Apollo met another dog. He was somewhat friendly and social, but mostly kept to himself. More of a low energy gentle giant that prefers to coexist. He was tolerant of the other dog greeting him
